Things are great in Viña. This week we had interviews with the President in our pensions, so my comp and I were cleaning like crazy! This week weve done a lot of contacting trying to find new people to teach. A lot of people werent interested, but there are a few hopefuls that were gonna try and teach later. A lot of people are asking me what the food is like here. This week I tried something that basically sums up the food here. Its called pastel de choclo. Its a caserol like thing with cornmeal, meat, onions, hardboiled eggs, and olives. If you want to know what comida chilena is like, try it. It was pretty good, but I found out that I really dont like olives. This week we also had auditions for a Christmas program. I didnt audition, but my comp did. Hes really good at singing. There were a lot of people that were really good, and also some that were really bad (sorry). Also this week we had an activity with the youth of our branch where we played ping pong. At first nobody showed up and we were sad. But just when we were about to leave, 5 members showed up with 2 non member friends. It was great and we had lots of fun. Things are great here. They keep saying its summer but its cold here. I hope all is well at home and I miss you all!
