Alright, so today I completed 2 months in my mission! It really doesnt feel like it! The time has gone by really fast. This week has been really good. I realized that Chileans have their own variety of Spanish that no one really understands except them. Basically in Spanish there are 2 ways to say you: Tu and Usted. One is formal and the other is informal, and they both have different conjugations, but in Chile they invented their own way to say you: Vo. And they made up their own conjugations too. Just my luck. Also they have a lot of weird sayings. He are a few:
Pato Malo: Bad duck-bad guy gallo: rooster-that dude over there sapo: frog-a nosy person todo chancho: full pig-all the way (like for music volume) I dont know why they like animals so much here, but its a little weird. They say they dont speak spanish, they say they speak Chileno. Also they throw the word po on the end of pretty much every one of their sentences. Chilean Spanish is weird. Anyway weve been having a lot of success teaching less active member. We actually taught about 10 more lessons with less actives that they did last change, with everything else rising as well. Its been great! I complete my first change this wednesday, thats when the transfer meeting is. I really hope I stay in Chorrillos, I love it here! Also shout out to my good friend George Burch that enters the MTC on Wednesday. Edmonton Canada is getting a great missionary! I miss you all and I hope you are all great! Elder Thompson
