I guess all that the people say here about the Fiestas Patrias is true. There are lots of people taht drink and stuff, and it's really hard for missionaries in this time. They also said we'd be eating a lot of grilled meat, and that is true. The past few days for lunch we had barbeque. One thing though, we haven't had empanadas yet. My companion hasn't had one!
Despite the fiestas, we've been finding a lot of new people. We've been working a lot with Gonzalo this week. We had to move his date to the 7th of October. I know he can do it! Other than that, it's been pretty normal week. Lots of chilean flags everywhere. These people have a lot of national pride. We had a district leader counsel this week. I got to see lots of familiar faces, people that I came to the mission with, like Elder Smith and Elder Arias.
