So we basically spent all of the morning painting a tree made our of cardboard. In our zone we have the goal to use family history to find people to teach, and so we came up with the idea to make a tree with holes in it, so that people can but their faces in it. The idea is that it look like a family tree. We were all going to meet up and do it, but the zone leaders had to go to Viña to do visa stuff. They called me and told me about that and then they asked me, "So, could you be in charge of the tree painting today?" I said sure, I guess. So that's what we've been doing.
We are really excited for Peter. He's been coming to church and he likes reading the Book of Mormon. He's got a baptismal date on May 19th, we are really excited for him. The members have done a great job being his friend and making him feel welcome. He really loves to go to church. We've got interview with President this week in our houses, so wish us luck. We've still got to clean a little, so I hope we can get everything done one time. I guess that's it for this week. Miss you all!

So today, you guessed it, we had to get vaccinated for the flu virus. The shot didn't even hurt one bit, but we had to go to Viña to do it, and that was the part that took the most time. We had to wait our turn and everything, and they had to vaccinate over 120 missionaries. Poor nurses.
But this week was great. We had lots of stuff to do this week. Lots of good things happening in our sector. Lots of good people we've been finding. Life's been good. It's gotten a little colder this week, but there's no worries for us. Peter did not come to church this week. He had something to do in the morning, so he didn't come. There's always the next week. He really loves reading the Book of Mormon, so I know that he just need a little more time. We're just gonna keep going. This next week we've got interviews in our house. That means we've gotta clean. I'll let you know how that goes. Miss you all! So this week has been a great week. We've been doing lots of stuff with family history. We are really excited to help everyone with their family history, in fact I want to invite all of you to do your family history, because it's great.
Peter came to church this week! He really liked it. He was participating in the class and everything. I know it's hard for him because he doesn't speak a lot of spanish, being from Haiti and all, but he really enjoyed church. He's got a baptismal date, so I'll keep you guys posted. Things in Chile are great. I just did all of the stuff for my last visa extension. That means I don't have a lot of time left in the mission, but that's ok. The time has really flown by. It's been getting a little cold here, but we keep going to keep warm. I miss all you guys! Our DVD broke, so we used the TV in the Chaple to watch the training videos This week was really great. We've got so many great things happening in our zone. First of all, we only had one change in the zone, so we are basically the same. That makes it a lot easier to keep working. We are really happy to all be together again in Quilpue.
We are really motivated from Conference. We are really excited to see how all of the changes take effect. We also are really motivated by a talk we read. I have no idea what it's called in English, but in Spanish it reads, "Un Misionero Desafiante y Testificador". I really think that that talk has changed my mission. It explains the way that we have to testify about the Restored Church. If we testify with power, the people will hear us. We brought another Haitian to church. His name is Peter. He really liked it. He's going to come the next week. We are really excited for everything this transfer. |
