Hello all, this Christmas was great. We got to skype with our families and it was great. Also our mission printed waaaaaay to many Light the World cards, so the days before Christmas we spent handing out those cards. We must have handed out more that 2000 cards, my companion and me. There were some companionships that handed out something like 4000 cards. And there are still lots left. But what are you gonna do. This week one of our investigators came to church. His name is Vicente and he is 12. Since he came to church he can have a baptismal date. He will be baptized the 8th of January. I cant wait! Also something funny happened. We were ordering food at a fast food place and the guy asked for my name. I said Elder Thompson and he just wrote Tom on the receipt. I thought it was funny. Anyway, I miss you guys. And as always, pictures

I hope all is well at home. This week was good. We found lots of new invesitgators. One of them is named Jon Paul. He told us that he wants to get closer to God. He said that his family is all Catholic, but he doesnt like religion because he hasnt found one that he likes yet. Hes basically like Joseph Smith! He really liked how we talked about prayer and he said we could teach him, but not until after the holidays. Well just have to wait I guess. Also weve been teaching the Hatians. They were references, and we only had their names: Charles and Alexis. And our first appointment was with a guy and a girl. So I thought "Ok, Charles is the guy and Alexis is the girl." They guy even responded to Charles too. But another day we were talking to him and and he said his name was Alexis. We were so confused. And another day we were teaching just Alexis (the guy) because the girl wasnt there, and he asked if his friend could join us. So I thought, " Ok maybe his name is Charles" but he told us his name is Cine. So unless the girl is named Charles I have no idea who Charles is. But the hatians are so cool. They love coming to church even though they cant understand a lot. Me and my companion might start learning a little bit of french. Everything is great here. The weather has been nice and everyone here is giving us fruitcake, but here its called pan de pascua. Its not exactly fruitcake but its similar. I like it its tasty. I hope all is well. The pìctures are of us at a Christmas concert on the beach. It was fun.
yeah I dont have a lot of time, but things are great here. We have a lot of investigators that are really close to being baptized. Any day now! I miss all of you guys, and I hope you are all doing well where ever you are. Time really does fly here, Ive almost been out here for 3 months.
Here in the south its almost summer, and the weather has been beautiful! Its cloudy here and I love it. So basically this week we found lots of new investigators and they are really cool. We found some Hatians that only speak French, so its hard to teach them, but they came to church, and they really want to learn. Thank goodness the Spirit doesnt need a language. This are great here as usual. Lots of dogs and stuff, but its normal. For the light the world thing, or ilumina el mundo as it is called here, we have new cards and stuff and we have a challenge to pass out 500 by Christmas. We are basically half way done, and I think we can do it. Also our mission has the goal to get 100 baptisms in the month of December, so we are really working hard to do that. We have seen so many miracles. My time is short, but just remeber that God loves you and I miss you all!
